Confidential discussions on the product and its application enable the knowledge and expertise available within this organisation to be applied to the development, to the benefit of all concerned. Experienced and technically trained staff provide a service which covers all aspects of development and manufacture of injection moulded products. This includes advising on the initial concept and the detailed component design and material selection, through to full production of complete assemblies, so that by designing cost out of the complete product, the unit price, tool cost and lead time can all be minimised.

Automotive Lenses
Requiring very high standards of cleanliness, automotive lens manufacture demands consistent and precision manufacture to ensure reliable optical performance along with no contamination or defects due to miss handling. Scorpion produce lenses in high volume for all positions on the vehicle in demanding materials such as acrylic, polycarbonate and very high temperature resistant co-polycarbonate.
Car Bumper Associated Products
Specialising in small technical products the bumper manufacturer is aware that Scorpion can provide a better service for the small associated products than themselves. Requiring close tolerance fit and excellent surface finish Scorpion provide Parking Sensor Holders, Tow Eye and Fog Lamp covers for a variety of vehicles including the new Mini.
Precision Air Valves
Made from low-creep acetal to ensure long-term dimensional stability and reliable performance. These demanding mouldings include challenges such as close tolerance, very small holes and a good surface finish to ensure smooth operation. The intricate tooling was made and is continually maintained by Scorpion to ensure reliable high volume manufacture.
Law 80
This lightweight, personal, high performance anti-tank weapon is amazingly accurate. It deals with main battle tanks at up to 500 metres range. Made largely of plastic components, Scorpion was involved for almost 10 years in the development of some of the parts. Most of the mouldings are in very high specification Nylons including grades filled with carbon fibre.
Hand Held Data Capture Terminal
This extremely rugged, programmable hand held computer is designed to withstand continual use under the harshest environmental conditions. It is waterproof and shockproof, whilst remaining fully functional even after being dropped from significant height into water or onto concrete. The mouldings are made from Xenoy, a sophisticated Polycarbonate and Polyester alloy, which was originally developed for car bumpers.
Central Heating Controller
The plastic casing of this programmer uses a range of mouldings in flame retardant ABS, Polycarbonate and Polyester. The LCD display utilises transparent polycarbonate that is also flame retardant.
